Repair services are not always upfront about prices, but here at Generator Repair of Acadiana, we will always be upfront with you.
Minimum service call fees must be paid upfront before a technician arrives at your home. Minimum call fees ensure that you want a good diagnosis for your generator. If our technician can repair it on-site in less than 15 minutes, the minimum fee covers it. Each job has a maximum of 45 minutes of diagnostic time. Warranty work is only done during regular business hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday - Friday. Any calls outside of business hours available to schedule, including warranty, will incur a $75 after-hours fee.
Our fee per hour of repair is $125/hour for time spent on site, plus $90/hour for drive time and $1/mile. Our technicians are the best in the field and generally stay at the flat rate times prescribed by the manufacturers.
For example, if brushes needed to be replaced at the Cajundome, Generac’s allowance is roughly 1 hour plus a maximum of 45 minutes diagnostic. The Cajundome is 28 miles away and 40 minutes. The MSRP for 22 kW Generac brushes is currently $24.99 plus tax.
The total cost for the job would be $422.24 minus the $150 already paid for the service call, and the total cost for labor and the part would be $272.24.

Diagnostic Service Call

Pick a time, and we will be at your house within 20 minutes of the scheduled time, or you can get a 10% discount off the entire bill (not applicable during severe weather or impassable roadways). All service calls after hours or on the weekend will incur a $75 dollar fee.
Warranty
Cost depends on warranty status.
The factory pays for the factory warranty. When scheduling a call, we require you to enter the generator’s model and serial number and the main complaint. Our technicians will let you know if it is covered under full warranty before traveling to your site.
